Apply Online for NSFAS Bursary 2024-2025:
The NSFAS Bursary for the 2024-2025 academic year is expected to be open for applications from 2 November and will close on 21 January 2024. It’s important to mark these application dates.
You can easily apply for the NSFAS bursary online using your computer, iPad, or any other smartphone. Before applying online, ensure that you have all the necessary supporting documentation and meet the eligibility criteria for the NSFAS Application in 2024. Follow the steps below to begin your application process.
Required Supporting Documents for the Application:
To facilitate the processing of your NSFAS application, you must provide the following supporting documents to ensure the success of your application:
- Your personal cellphone number and email address.
- A copy of your ID or birth certificate.
- National ID copies of your parents, guardians, or spouse.
- Evidence of your income or your 1-year IRP5, if necessary.
- Proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, there is no need to provide evidence of income.
- Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.
- Applicants recognized as Vulnerable Children by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
How to Apply for NSFAS Online Bursary
You have the convenience of completing the NSFAS Online Application for 2024 using your computer, iPad, or any other smartphone. Before you begin, ensure that you have gathered all the required supporting documents and confirm your eligibility for the NSFAS Application in 2024. - Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab

- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
- Update your personal information
- Answer the questions you see on the screen
- Upload all the required supporting documents
- Finally, you click on ‘submit
Who qualifies for NSFAS funding?
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
