• Thekwini TVET College, as a public technical and vocational education and training institution, strives to achieve its goal of skill development through excellent teaching and learning and effective corporate governance.   Thekwini TVET College submits its five-year strategic plan to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology for approval under Section 10(2)(a) of the Continuing Education and Training Act, No. 16 of 2006, as amended. The strategic plan was guided by the National Development Plan (NDP), its implementation plan, the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) Plan, and all other relevant regulatory requirements.
• The strategic plan takes into account both the vision of South Africa’s sixth democratically elected government and the beginning of the fourth industrial revolution.
  Thekwini TVET College works to promote the achievement of the following two sub-goals, among other strategic outcomes and national targets, according to the Department’s strategic documents: A sub-outcome of outcome 2 is increased access to and success in programs leading to intermediate and high-level learning, while a sub-outcome of outcome 4 is increased availability of intermediate-level skills with a focus on artisan skills and entrepreneurship.
