The College is one of 50 public TVET institutions in South Africa overseen by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). In Gauteng, there are eight TVET colleges.
The College has eight campuses: Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street, and Troyville.
