In and around Johannesburg, there are six TVET colleges, including the following:

Central Johannesburg TVET College

• Central Johannesburg TVET College aims to provide its students with access to employment and entrepreneurial opportunities that promote economic growth through flexible education and training interventions. The college has six campuses, and each one provides a variety of classes, including NC(V) and NATED courses.

Ekurhuleni East TVET College

• The goal of Ekurhuleni East TVET College is to empower and prepare its students for the workforce and independent work. It aims to develop a positive learning environment that satisfies the students’ expectations for education, training, and development. Students can choose from a variety of courses.

Ekurhuleni West TVET College

• Ekurhuleni West College strives to provide its students with the knowledge and skills required for employment or self-employment. The college has several campuses with the goal of ensuring lifelong learning and development for its students. In addition to NSFAS, bursaries are given to deserving students who have excelled in previous semesters.

Sedibeng TVET College

• Sedibeng TVET College strives to be the best TVET College by providing affordable training and education. It aims to have its employees in the TVET sector offer degrees that meet the requirements and standards of business, industry, and the general public.

South West Gauteng TVET College

• The education and training programs provided by South West Gauteng TVET College cover the NQF Levels 2 to 4 and N4 to N6. Both online and distance learning are available to students. The minimum requirement for those interested in Business Studies, Engineering Studies, or Utility Studies is Grade 9, but Grades 11 or 12 are preferred.

Western TVET College

• Western TVET College works hard to offer top-notch instruction and training that is advantageous to the community and students alike. For students who want to finish AET levels 1, 2, 3, and 4, the college offers a variety of courses, including public adult learning centers. (Level NQF 1).
