Central Technical University, Free State (CUT) is a South African technical university located in Bloemfontein, Free State Province. It was founded in 1981 under the name “Technikon Free State.” The main campus is in Bloemfontein, the capital of South Africa’s Free State Province. Additional sites were established in facilities managed by the Northern Cape College of Higher Education in Welkom, in the heart of the Free State gold mining region, and in Kimberley.
