The Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College is governed by the FET Colleges Act no 16 of 2006, as amended (EWC). - According to the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education (Gauteng Province) in an Extraordinary Provincial Gazette, it was established under the Further Education and Training Act, Act No.98 of 1998. (Beginning on December 7, 2001).
- Students who have excelled academically but need financial assistance can apply to College. Current and prospective students at the College can apply for bursaries from the Department of Higher Education and Training. Students who want to apply for these bursaries must go through College.
