The Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College (EWC), a public institution, is governed by the FET Colleges Act no 16 of 2006, as amended. It was established in accordance with the Further Education and Training Act, Act No. 98 of 1998, as announced in an Extraordinary Provincial Gazette by the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education (Gauteng Province) (dated 7 December 2001).
The Ekurhuleni West TVET College is located in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in the South African province of Gauteng. EWC has six (6) campuses and operates in diverse and broadband communities:
- Alberton
- Boksburg
- Germiston
- Kathorus, (in Katlehong/ Vosloorus/ Thokoza)
- Kempton (in Kempton Park)
- Tembisa.

To apply to Ekurhuleni West TVET College, you must submit the following documents:
- an email address that is valid and distinct, as well as a phone number
- each parent’s or guardian’s identification in three official duplicates
- For learners from South Africa, three certified copies of their identification are required.
- The passport numbers of international applicants will be requested.
- a photocopy of your academic transcript (eg Senior Certificate)
- Proof of residency and a certified copy of your most recent test results (Grade 9 or higher).
- certifications from other countries that SAQA has approved as proof of health insurance or coverage
