On April 1, 2002, Ikhala Public TVET College was formed by the merger of several former Technical Colleges (also known as Ikhala College).
Ikhala College currently serves the Northern Region of the Eastern Cape, with campuses in Aliwal North, Ezibeleni, Queen Nonesi (Lady Frere), Queenstown, and Sterkspruit.
The Queenstown Campus of Ikhala TVET College is located in the lovely Eastern Cape town of Komani, formerly known as Queenstown. This town is famous for its hexagonal center, as well as the surrounding mountains and native aloe plants. The Longhill Nature Reserve is on the outskirts of town, surrounded by numerous game farms.
Our student body numbers around 1400 people, who come from all over the Eastern Cape.
