  • The old Centane Technical College, Teko Technical College, H.B. Tsengwa Technical College, and Idutywa Satellite, formerly known as Idutywa Community College, were combined to form the King Hintsa TVET College.
  • The South Eastern Region of the Eastern Cape is where you’ll find this King Hintsa TVET College. On N2 Mthatha Road in Butterworth, close to WSU, is where you can find the Central Administration Office (Butterworth campus).
    Two campuses are located in Mnquma, and the college is split between two local municipalities (Centane, Teko, and Admin Center). The Mbashe Local Municipality is home to the Dutywa and HB Tsengwa campuses.
  • All of the college campuses are within 60 kilometers of one another. On multiple campuses, the college offers NC (V), Report 191, and Skills Development programs.
  • The King Hintsa TVET College is well-known for training adults, out-of-school adolescents, and project-linked trainees from a variety of academic backgrounds who want to advance their education.

Report191 Engineering

Duration:

  • 11 weeks per N-level

Admission criteria for Report191 Engineering Applicants:

  • The relevant national N3 Engineering Studies certificate;
  • A Senior Certificate with at least three training opportunities relevant to the program candidate’s education option;
  • a qualification comparable
  • Only advance to the next stage, such as N4 to N5, after successfully completing the previous one.
  • Students must complete 18 months of pertinent practical experience to be eligible for a National Diploma.

Report191 Business

Duration:

  • 6 months per N-level

Admission requirements:

  • NSC / N3 / Grade 12 for N4
  • N4 for N5
  • N5 for N6 a suitable National Certificate N3 Engineering Studies; or

General:

  • Each topic is broken up into six months (January to June or July to November). There are four required subjects for each course. A certificate in the chosen field of study will be given to students who successfully complete Introductory N4, N4, N5, and N6.
  • To be eligible for a National Diploma, students must acquire and complete 18 months of relevant practical experience.

How to Fill Out the King Hintsa Online Application

    Fill out the application, which is available at the Admin Center and on all of our campuses. On request, it can also be posted or emailed to you after being downloaded from this page.
  • Step 2.
  • Pay an application fee that is not refundable; as a result, make sure you meet the minimum requirements before applying; payment details are on the application form.
  • Step 3.
  • Send the necessary paperwork, a certified copy of your ID, your most recent academic transcript, a copy of your parent or guardian’s ID, and payment documentation to the campus where you wish to enroll.

Step 4.

  • Before applying, foreign candidates must assess their qualifications with SAQA; if this is not done, no foreign students will be permitted.
  • Step 5.
  • Following the submission of your application, the college will notify you of your admission status and require you to take a pace exam. After that, you will be expected to attend classes.
