Vhembe TVET College has a campus at Makwarela TVET College. It opened its doors in 1963 as the region’s first technical college.
It has undergone various changes since then to address the skills of South Africans.
Among these changes were the names of the institutions, which included Vocational College of Venda, Finyazwanda, and Technical College of Venda.
It later led to the establishment of Mavhoi Technical College in 1983, allowing some of the workers to demonstrate their talents at the newly established college.
The college created a second technical college in Mashamba in 2002, which became fully functioning after the technical colleges merged.
East Campus was the campus’s original name before it was renamed Makwarela in 2009.

OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES

Letaba TVET College has started accepting online applications for the class of 2024. Returning student applications close on December 30th, while new student applications close on November 26th.
Late applications will not be taken into account.
