The MUT online application dates 2024-2025 is available for applicants on this page.

• The application deadline or closing date is always a submission timeline set by the institution for admission into any course of interest. Every year, South African schools (universities and colleges) have submission deadlines in August and October.
• As a result, applicants are expected to meet the University’s minimum admission requirements and admission point score before proceeding with the application.

Application Fee

• PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PAYMENTS SHOULD BE MADE DIRECTLY TO THE MUT BANK ACCOUNT PROVIDED BELOW. NO PAYMENTS SHOULD BE MADE TO ANYONE CLAIMING TO REPRESENT THE INSTITUTION.
• No applicant or student will be able to register unless a minimum of R1650 for semester students or R2750 for annual students registration deposit is paid.
• You are not required to pay the deposit if you are an NSFAS beneficiary. However, you will receive an SMS notification before the registration deadline informing you that you can register.

Admission Requirements for Mangosuthu University of Technology:

You must have the following qualifications to enter the NVC at NQF Level 2:

• A year-end report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 or a NQF Level 1 qualification, or an approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF Level 2, or an RPL assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.

Documents required for admission to Mangosuthu University of Technology

The application fee (for new students only) and class fees are due at the time of registration.

All new applications must be approved.

• Certified copy of most recent school report/results statement/Grade 12 or N3 certificate
• Six certified copies of the Learner’s ID.
• Two certified copies of Parent/ID. Guardian’s
• One photo of Learner in ID size.

Applications should be submitted as early as possible in the application cycle, which begins each year in April.

• Proof of registration fee payment (compulsory for SA and International applicants)
• Certified copy of your ID document (ID document required for South African citizens; your application will not be processed unless you provide a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants).
• Final Grade 12 Examination Results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you are currently in grade 12) are critical for your application.
• When applying online or in hard copy, keep in mind that you will need a unique email address.

Applicants must keep the following application deadline in mind:

MUT Admission Registration 2024/2025 will end on or before:

• First semester applications for the Faculty of Engineering are due on September 30.
• Applications for the second semester of the Faculty of Engineering are due on May 31.
• Natural Sciences Faculty – 30 September
• Analytical Chemistry – Applications for the Second Semester – May 31,
• 30 September, Faculty of Management Sciences
• Applications received after September 30 incur a late application fee set by the CAO.
• The Mangosuthu University of Technology Application Portal is scheduled to close at 11:59 p.m. on the same date.
