How to Check the Status of a MUT Application in 2024-2025

  • To check your application status at MUT, please go to the MUT application status tracker page >> Visit https://www.cao.ac.za/. Then click ‘My Application‘ to track the status of your application.
  • Enter your personal information here for verification.
  • Fill in the required information and click the next button to view the status of your application.
  • You’ll also be able to see which documents have been received and whether any additional documents are required to complete your application.
  • Your department will make a decision in accordance with its established timelines. When the Office of Admissions receives the department’s decision, they will notify you via email.
  • Log in to your MUT applicant portal at any time to check the status of your application.

Results of MUT Admission

MUT admission status displays a number of statuses associated with applicant applications and the process by which they are evaluated. Your application status will also indicate whether it is Pending Review, Requires Action, Complete, Undergraduate Admission Decisions, Pending, Admitted, Cleared Provisional, Admission, Ineligible, Quota Filled, or Cancelled.

  • Pending Review: This indicates that the Mangosuthu University of Technology has received the application. Before determining which documents, if any, are required to complete the application, the application must be reviewed. Applicants should return to this page for updates; the application status will remain Pending Review until an admission decision is made.
  • Action Required: Indicates that there are missing items from the application. Applicants should return to their MUT online application tool for updates on Unresolved Items.
  • Complete: Indicates that all of the application’s required components have been received. By selecting the show items attachment link and looking for Completed Items, applicants can confirm that items have been received.
  • Admitted: Indicates acceptance into the specified program. Some admissions offers may be conditional.
  • Provisional Admission: Admission to a program subject to a faculty-specific provision. All outstanding To-Do List items for this program must be submitted, as well as other requirements specified by your faculty.
  • Cleared Provisional Admission: This status indicates that all of the admission’s faculty-specific requirements have been met. Final admission to the specified program has now been confirmed.
  • Ineligible: This indicates that admission to the specified program has been denied. The minimum requirements for admission consideration have not been met.
  • Quota Filled: This indicates that admission to the specified program has been denied. Although the program’s minimum admission requirements were met, the application was not competitive.
  • Canceled: This indicates that the application has been withdrawn.
