Nsfas Funding Application 2024-2025
It’s important for potential applicants to keep in mind that the NSFAS funding application for the 2024-2025 academic year will commence on November 2 and conclude on January 21, 2024. To apply online, applicants must start by registering and establishing a MyNSFAS profile on the NSFAS website. This profile will serve as their individual account, enabling them to log in for application updates and funding information throughout the year.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT
- Kindly supply your personal cellphone number and email address.
- Make sure you possess a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
- Include copies of the national IDs for your parents, guardians, or spouse.
- Provide evidence of your income or your IRP5 for the past year, if necessary.
- Also, submit proof of income for your parents, guardian, or spouse.
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you are not required to furnish income documentation.
- Applicants with disabilities should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.
- For applicants recognized as Vulnerable Children by the Department of Social Development, please provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application
- Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
- Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
- Update your personal information
- Answer the questions you see on the screen
- Upload all the required supporting documents
- Finally, you click on ‘submit
Who qualifies for the NSFAS Online Application?
- Eligibility extends to all South African citizens.
- Funding qualification is granted to all SASSA grant recipients.
- Applicants with a combined annual household income not exceeding R350,000 are eligible.
- Individuals with disabilities can qualify, provided their combined household income does not exceed R600,000 per annum.
- Students who commenced their studies before 2018 and have a household income not exceeding R122,000 per annum are eligible.
