Nsfas Laptop Application Opening Date 2024-2025: NSFAS has developed the Digital Learning Device Project, which allows NSFAS-funded students to receive laptops through its bursary program. Students who have not yet received their laptops from their schools are advised to place an order through NSFAS. Students who have not yet received their laptops from their schools are encouraged to place an online order with NSFAS.
Nsfas Laptop Application Opening Date
The NSFAS laptop application cycle will run for four months starting on August 3 and ending on November 30 this year. Applications submitted after the deadline won’t be considered.
Students will need the following document to apply:
- South African ID number
- Student number
- Contact details
- Name of the institution registered at
- Home address
THE STEPS FOR PLACING AN ORDER ONLINE?
- Click here to visit the NSFAS website.
- Select “myNSFAS” on the top right of the screen.
- Tap on “Click to order your NSFAS Laptop Online”.
- Fill in your ID number and all the other information required.
After you have completed all of the needed checks and submitted your online order, you will be contacted to pick up your laptop at your registered institution.
How To Collect Your Laptop
Once the verification process is complete, an order for your laptop will be placed with our service providers to dispatch the device for delivery. Once your laptop is ready, you will be called by the laptop service provider or your institution to arrange collection/delivery.
Remember, once you are contacted for the delivery and collection of the device, no one can receive/collect the laptop on your behalf, you must be present and also sign before it is handed over to you.
Laptop payment
Non-NSFAS-funded students who require a device should consult their institutions as they will remain responsible for the payment of the device and must therefore agree to the payment terms as defined by the institution.
As an NSFAS-funded student, you should upon delivery of the digital learning device, produce a valid ID, proof of registration (or student card) as well as sign the acknowledgement receipt of the digital learning device. You will also be required to agree to the terms and conditions of the device as set out by your institution.
