Nsfas Re Application 2024-2025

Reapplication for NSFas 2024–2025: The NSFAS was created as a government organization under the Department of Higher Education and Training by the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial aid to impoverished students wishing to continue their education at TVET colleges or public universities. You have to register for a MyNSFAS account on the NSFAS official website in order to view your NSFAS funding progress through your MyNSFAS account. Upon enrolling, candidates can submit funding applications. Please use the guidelines provided below to register and submit an online application.

When is NSFAS Opening for Applications?

NSFAS Application for 2024 will be opening on 1st September and closing on 30th November 2024. No Late Application will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO RE-REGISTER AND APPLY

  1. Provide your own cellphone numb er and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How To Re Register For NSFAS

  1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Click myNSFAS tab
  3. Click Register
  4. Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details
  5. Then capture your ID number as it is stated on your ID document
  6. Type in your full names and surname as per your ID document
  7. Type in your current email address
  8. Confirm your email address
  9. Type in your cell phone number
  10. Create a password
  11. Confirm password
  12. Upload ID copy
  13. Click Register
  14. OTP will be sent to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours)
  15. Type in the OTP and click submit

You have now completed your re-registration

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Bursary Online Application

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

 

How To View/Check Nsfas Online Application Status

To check your NSFAS application status:

  1. Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
  2. Enter your ID or username and password.
  3. Click the SIGN IN! button.
  4. Once you log into your account dashboard, click on Track Funding Progress to check your application status.
  5. If your application has been successful, Congrats! If not, better luck next time.
