NSFAS Registration 2024-2025: If you are a university or TVET college student who qualifies for student funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), it is essential to complete the registration process. Registering with NSFAS enables you to apply for NSFAS Funds and access other government services. During the registration, you will need to provide your contact information, including your name, address, date of birth, and gender. Additionally, you’ll be required to furnish details about your income, assets, and any dependents you may have. Once you’ve successfully registered with NSFAS, you can initiate the application process, either by visiting the NSFAS website or filling out the application form.

The registration period will be open for two weeks, from August 17, 2024, to September 3, 2024. Applicants should ensure they meet the NSFAS requirements before registering.

Documents Needed During My NSFAS Registration Process:

Provide your personal cellphone number and email address.
Ensure you have a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
Include national ID copies of your parents, guardians, or spouse.
Submit evidence of your income or your 1-year’s IRP5 if required.
Provide proof of income for your parents, guardian, or spouse.
If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you do not need to provide income evidence.
All applicants with a disability should complete and submit a signed Disability Annexure A Form.
An applicant recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also complete and submit a signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

Nsfas Online Registration Process

Visit www.nsfas.org.za login.
Click MyNSFAS tab.
Click register.
Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details.
Then capture the ID number as stated on your ID document.
Type in your full name and surname as per your ID number.
Type in your current email address.
Confirm your email address.
Type in your cellphone number.
Create a password.
Confirm password.
Upload ID Copy.
Click register.
You will be sent an OTP to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours).
Type in the OTP and click Submit.
You have now completed your NSFAS account re-registration.

How To Check Your Registration Status

You will need your MyNSFAS Email and password to check your status online. Now with your internet-connected smartphone or computer, Open your web browser.

Step 1: Visit the MyNSFAS student portal via-www nsfas.org.za
Step 2: Next, Enter your Email and Password in the field provided.
Step 3: Finally, click on the Sign-In button to access your application status

Who qualifies To Register?

All South African citizens
All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
