Nsfas Student Portal 2024-2025

The Nsfas Student Portal for the 2024-2025 academic year, known as MyNSFAS, is an online platform developed by NSFAS. This portal simplifies the management of all aspects related to NSFAS. It allows you to submit your application, upload supporting documents, and modify existing information. To access these features, you can create an account and log in.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT ON THE PORTAL

NSFAS, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, will request additional information to process your application. To ensure the success of your application, you must submit the following supporting documents.

  • Kindly provide your own cellphone number and email address.
  • You are required to have a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
  • Include copies of the national IDs of your parents, guardians, or spouse.
  • Submit proof of your income, or an IRP5 for one year if necessary.
  • Include proof of income for your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  • If you are a SASSA grant recipient, there is no need to furnish income documentation.
  • All applicants with disabilities should complete and sign the Disability Annexure A Form and submit it.
  • An applicant identified as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also complete and sign the Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

How To Login To NSFAS Student Portal

  • Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on myNsfas account.
  • Enter your username and password. The username is usually your email address
  • Click on the “My personal details” tab
  • Update your cellphone number and/or email address to your current one
  • Click “Update your details” to proceed
  • A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to the newly provided phone number and email address.
  • Enter the OTP and click submit
  • Your details will immediately be updated

How to Reset the Password

  • Clicking on the “forgot your password” tab and enter your ID number
  • Choose whether you have forgotten your username and password and click “Submit
  • You will receive an OTP via email and SMS
  • Type in the OTP you received and click “Submit
  • You will then be required to create a new password.
