Our eight faculties’ primary pursuits—teaching-learning and research—are intertwined with civic involvement and innovation, and the majority of them accept both on-campus and online students.

Dates of the beginning and end of the NWU application
- Please submit your application during the application cycle before the deadline if you want it to be taken into account. Every year, from March to September, applications are accepted.

- For South African applicants, it is free; for applicants from other nations, there is an R 550.00 non-refundable application fee due at the time of application (for online applications). Together with the other necessary documents, kindly upload the deposit slip and make a deposit using the bank details listed below. There is a fee for applications.

Non-selection courses: 31 August
Music: Applications for admission to the university closed on 15 July and applications for auditions to any of the undergraduate music programs closed on 25 July
Graphic Design: 31 August
Engineering: 31 August
Occupational Hygiene: 31 August
Urban and Regional Planning: 31 August
All other selection courses: 30 June
