PhD (Education Policy Studies)
- Before they can begin the research, they must submit a research proposal during their first year of registration and successfully defend it before a panel of examiners selected by the Dean, working with the relevant head of department, supervisor, and research coordinator; they must also apply for ethical clearance to the relevant head of department and Ethics Committee, and they can only begin field work after their application has been approved by the Ethics Committee. Reregistration annually is contingent upon good development;
to participate in all doctoral-level research capacity-building seminars on both quantitative and qualitative research. - submit a thesis for review on a subject that has been given the Dean’s approval following the head of the department in question’s recommendation, and successfully defend that thesis in an oral examination;
present documentation proving the submission of a paper to a recognized journal. Before 15 February for the Autumn graduation ceremonies and before 15 July for the Spring graduation ceremonies, the draft proof and the proof of submission must be turned in to Student Administration. The degree will be granted during a subsequent round of graduation ceremonies if certain deadlines are not met;
