Register Nsfas Account 2024-2025

Register Nsfas Account 2024-2025: National Student Financial Aid Scheme Act allows students to apply for financial assistance to attend public universities or Tvet colleges, whether in the form of a student loan or a bursary. There are, however, certain requirements that you must meet if you’re planning to apply for these grants. One of these requirements is to create an NSFAS account. NSFAS applicants, as well as, current students are strongly encouraged to register their own MyNSFAS accounts to apply for the funding. If you already have an account, you can log in by inputting your surname and password on Google and Facebook Accounts. This is a simple process that you can follow to register an NSFAS account.

 

Who qualifies To Register?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

Documents Needed During My Nsfas Registration Process

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

 Nsfas Online Registration Process

  1. Visit www.nsfas.org.za login.
  2. Click the MyNSFAS tab.
  3. Click register.
  4. Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details.
  5. Then capture the ID number as stated on your ID document.
  6. Type in your full name and surname as per your ID number.
  7. Type in your current email address.
  8. Confirm your email address.
  9. Type in your cellphone number.
  10. Create a password.
  11. Confirm password.
  12. Upload ID Copy.
  13. Click register.
  14. You will be sent an OTP to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours).
  15. Type in the OTP and click Submit.
  16. You have now completed your NSFAS account re-registration.

 

How To Check Your Registration Status

You will need your MyNSFAS Email and password to check your status online. Now with your internet-connected smartphone or computer, Open your web browser.

  • Step 1: Visit the MyNSFAS student portal via-www nsfas.org.za
  • Step 2: Next, Enter your Email and Password in the field provided.
  • Step 3: Finally, click on the Sign-In button to access your application status
