Checkers, PicknPay, Shoprite, Usave & Boxer Stores

How are payments for the SRD grant going to be done?
Answer
The payment will be made by direct deposit into your bank account or by using the cash transfer option, which sends money to your phone and can be cashed out at the bank ATM of your choice. In order to receive a cash transfer, applicants without a bank account can choose from one of the following four institutions:
- ABSA
- FNB
- NEDBANK
- STANDARD BANK
When there is no other option available, SASSA will send the payment via the Post Office. All holders of special permits and asylum seekers will be paid through the post office. Before payment can be made, a personal appearance along with the relevant documents will be required to verify identity.
