• As we near the end of October, you may be wondering when your October SASSA grant will be paid. SASSA has finally confirmed the dates for SASSA grant payments.

The following grant payment dates have been announced by SASSA:

• Older Person’s grants will be paid from 3 November
  • This includes any grants linked to these accounts
• Disability grants will be paid from 4 November
  • This includes any grants that are associated with these accounts.
• All other grants will be paid from 5 November
  • This includes foster care grants, care dependency grants, and child support grants.

If you’re wondering when you’ll be paid for your SRD grant, SASSA has stated that there is no set date for R350 grant payments and that you will be paid for the months that you qualify for.

SASSA has also stated that you should not pick up your R350 grant from the Post Office on days when other SASSA grants are being paid.

You should also wait for an SMS to notify you that your grant is ready to be picked up, or else you’ll be going to the Post Office for nothing and coming home empty-handed.

SASSA has stated that you are not required to collect your grant on the first day and that it will be available for collection at any time.
