This post contains the Sassa payment dates for February 2024-2025.

The Overstrand Thusong Service Center in Hawston will accept social grants between the hours of 8:00 and 14:00.

DISABILITY GRANTS are available at other Overstrand halls between 08:00 and 14:00 during the months of February and March.

6 February – Disability Grant: Moffat Hall in Mt Pleasant, Overstrand Thusong Centre in Hawston, and Kleinmond Proteadorp Community Hall
27 Feb – Disability Grant: Stanford Community Hall, Gansbaai Blompark Community Hall
13 March – Disability Grant: Mt Pleasant Moffat Hall and Gansbaai Blompark Community Hall
27 March – Disability Grant: Mt Pleasant Moffat Hall, Kleinmond Proteadorp Community Hall

Take note of the following:

The payment of Older Persons Grants will begin on February 3.
Disability Grants will be paid beginning Thursday, February 4th.
All other grants will be distributed beginning on Friday, February 5.
The SASSA R350 grant has not been renewed, and there will be no new payments in February.
If you receive multiple grants and apply for Older Person or Disability payments at the same time, you will receive both payments on either February 3 or February 4.

SASSA on cards being valid beyond 31 March 2021

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) denies social media claims that the SASSA-SAPO Card will expire on March 31. These assertions are false. SASSA Cards will remain valid after March 31.
The cards will need to be replaced, according to the SA Reserve Bank report, but there is no deadline for doing so. The public will be able to obtain information about the new card in due course.
SASSA clients who are currently paid through the South African Post Office (SAPO) are not required to change their payment method; they are free to do so. After April, they will continue to be compensated with the current SASSA-SAPO card.
