SASSA payment dates for December 2024 were recently released. Continue reading to see the dates for each social grant.

The South African Social Security Agency has announced the payment dates for December 2024. This includes disability grants, grants for the elderly, and all other grants.

SASSA has assigned different payment dates for different grant categories in order to comply with social distancing restrictions in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

These various dates were chosen to avoid situations in which ATMs, banks, the Post Office, or SASSA offices would be overcrowded.

According to SASSA’s schedule, the following are the payment dates for social grants in December 2024:

Grants for the elderly will be paid beginning on December 1, 2024. This includes any grants that are associated with these accounts.
Disability payments will begin on December 2, 2024. This includes any grants that are associated with these accounts.
All other grants will be paid beginning December 3, 2024. These include grants for children, foster care grants, and care dependency grants.

There is no set payment date for the SRD grant. However, if you are receiving the grant at a Post Office, the grant will not be disbursed on the above dates.

The last three digits of your ID number determine your collection day for Post Office payments. The SASSA grant payment schedule for December has yet to be announced by the Post Office. The SRD grant payment dates for November can be found by clicking here.

Beneficiaries of the R350 grant who receive their SASSA grant payouts through the Post Office, a Boxer store, or a PicknPay store should wait for an SMS indicating that their grant is ready before going out to collect.
