This post includes the Sassa payment dates for February 2024-2025.

The Overstrand Thusong Service Center in Hawston will accept social grants between the hours of 8:00 and 14:00.

DISABILITY GRANTS are available at other Overstrand halls between the hours of 08:00 and 14:00 in February and March.

6 February – Disability Grant: Moffat Hall in Mt Pleasant, Overstrand Thusong Centre in Hawston, and Kleinmond Proteadorp Community Hall
27 Feb – Disability Grant: Stanford Community Hall, Gansbaai Blompark Community Hall
13 March – Disability Grant: Mt Pleasant Moffat Hall and Gansbaai Blompark Community Hall
27 March – Disability Grant: Mt Pleasant Moffat Hall, Kleinmond Proteadorp Community Hall

Take note of the following:

The payment of Older Persons Grants will begin on February 3.
Disability Grants will be paid beginning Thursday, February 4th.
All other grants will begin to be distributed on Friday, February 5.
The SASSA R350 grant has not been renewed, and no new payments will be made in February.
If you receive multiple grants and apply for Older Person or Disability benefits, you will receive both payments on February 3 or February 4.

SASSA on cards being valid beyond 31 March 2021

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has denied social media claims that the SASSA-SAPO Card would expire on March 31. These assertions are false. SASSA Cards are good until March 31, 2019.
According to the SA Reserve Bank report, the cards will need to be replaced, but there is no deadline for doing so. In due course, the general public will be able to obtain information about the new card.
SASSA clients who are currently paid by the South African Post Office (SAPO) are not required to change their payment method, but they may do so if they so desire. After April, they will continue to be compensated with the current SASSA-SAPO card.
