REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

• The University has set minimum academic standards for enrollment in SPU study programs in 2024.
• The results of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams in South Africa determine the requirements.
• Admission decisions for candidates who have diplomas from other testing systems will be made individually.
• It is significant to remember that merely fulfilling the minimum admission requirements does not ensure admission to the SPU study program.
• Your admission will be determined based on your academic standing and program space availability.
• Your chances of being admitted to SPU in 2024 will be better if your academic performance is higher than this minimum.

• Your admission will be determined based on your academic standing and program space availability.

• The standard GPA requirement for admission is 3.0.
• For academic probation to be imposed, the GPA must be at least 2.7.
• International students must take the TOEFL iBT.

Criteria for admission

• completed application and all colleges’ and/or high schools’ official transcripts
• A certified high school transcript or diploma is required of transfer students who have less than 60 transferable semester credits or 72 transferable quarter credits (evidence of high school graduation).
• 2.3 GPA is necessary for regular admission.
• A 2.0 GPA is required for enrollment in academic probation.
• Both the SAT and ACT are advised.
• Students who don’t have the required transfer courses or a SAT or ACT score must take a placement test.
• International students are required to take the TOEFL iBT.
