Registration for students enrolling for the first time in 2024
- In 2024, Sol Plaatje University (SPU) will hold an on-campus registration for first-year students.
- Important: During the Late Registration Week, from February 14 through February 18, 2024, first-time enrolling students who were unable to register from February 7 to February 11 may now do so.
- Registration will take place on Central Campus in the Applied Sciences Building C006, with the entrance on Bishops Avenue, and will adhere to strict COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
All first-year students are required to:
- Visit the university if you need assistance with the registration process. This will be done online at the Applied Sciences Computer Labs C006 on the Central Campus.
- Respect the dates specified in the Schedule for Online Registration.

Requirements for Admission
- Application Completed Official College Transcript
- Regular admission requires
* a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Academic probation requires a minimum GPA of 2.7.
- International students must take the TOEFL iBT.
A score of 90 is required.

- All college transcripts and/or official high school transcripts
A transfer student must provide an official high school transcript or diploma (proof of high school graduation) if they have fewer than 72 transferable quarter credits or 60-semester credits. A GPA of 2.3 is required for regular admission.
* Academic probation requires a minimum GPA of 2.0.
- Recommended SAT or ACT score
* Students who don’t have the required transfer credits or an ACT/SAT score must take a placement test.
- International students must take the TOEFL iBT.
* A score of 90 is required.
