Requirements for SRD R350 grant applications

APPLICATION VIA WHATSAPP

The methods outlined below demonstrate how to apply for the SRD award via WhatsApp.

  • Send a WhatsApp message to 082 046 8553 to apply.
  • The applicant should supply personal information as directed by the chat.
  • A reference number, an OTP number, and a website link to click on will be provided to the applicant. The applicant must click the link, enter the OTP number, and then click the verify button.
  • The applicant must submit their surname and ID number.
  • The applicant confirms details as stated in the discussion
  • Please proceed to Step 2: CONSENT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

SRD WEBSITE APPLICATION

The methods outlined below demonstrate how to apply using the SRD website.

  • Launch your web browser. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera Mini, and so on.
  • Look for https://srd.sassa.gov.za.
  • Applicant enters ID number and mobile number then clicks the send SMS button.
  • The applicant will be given a six-digit OTP number.
  • The applicant must enter the OTP number and click the Verify Pin button.
  • Please proceed to Step 2: CONSENT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

SASSA CHATBOT APPLICATION

The procedures outlined below demonstrate how to apply using the SASSA Chatbot.

  • Launch your web browser.
  • Look up www.sassa.gov.za.
  • The applicant will go to the website and click on the SRD R350 Grant support chat box.
  • The applicant provides ID and mobile phone number
  • The applicant will select I want to apply for the SRD R350 award via chat.
  • The chatbot will direct you to the SRD website.
  • The Applicant will follow the instructions on the SRD website.
  • Please go to Step 2: ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
