  • The South West Gauteng Institution is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college run by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and governed by the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended. Umalusi and other Sector Education and Training Authorities (Setas) have certified the College to provide education and training, particularly in the FET band (NQF Level 2 to 4).
  • SWGC is well-known for providing high-quality vocational education and training. Their primary goal is to use all college resources in novel ways to improve service delivery, employability, and student entrepreneurship while adhering to ISO standards.

Deadline for SWGC Applications

  • It is critical to understand that if you enroll in a vocational course such as Engineering Studies, Business Studies, or Utility Studies, you will not need to complete Grade 12 because institutions offer three-year vocational certificates.
    This certificate requires only Grade 9, but it is best suited to students who have completed Grade 11 or even Grade 12.

SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • All applications must be accompanied by supporting documents, according to the College. Along with the completed application forms, the following documents must be brought:
  • a copy of the most recent qualification/results a certified copy of your identification
    If you have a handicap or an ongoing medical condition that necessitates special assistance from the College, please submit a medical statement from a qualified doctor.

HOW TO FILL OUT THE SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION

Stage 1:

  • Locate a course on the website, add it to your shopping cart, and proceed to the checkout.
  • Look for the course you want to take on our college’s website.
  • Review the information you’ve entered and make any necessary changes before submitting your application.
  • After clicking ‘Apply Now,’ you will be directed to the admissions portal.
  • You may apply for a maximum of three courses.

Stage 2:

  • Log in to the admissions portal.
  • Before submitting your online application, you must first create an account on our admissions portal.
  • Click ‘Create Account to get started.
  • If you have already registered, enter your username and password to log in.
  • If you can’t remember your username, look for it in the email you received when you first created your account.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click the “Forgot your password?” link and follow the instructions that will be sent to your email address.

Step 3:

  • Complete and submit your application.
  • Fill in your personal information on the online application form.
  • Examine the information you’ve gathered.
  • Once you have completed the application, you will be asked to provide a choice or course preference for each of the courses you are applying for, as well as how you heard about the course.
  • If interview dates have been set, you will be invited to select an interview slot.
  • Many courses’ traditional entry requirements may be waived if alternative qualifications or experience can be provided.
