The South West Gauteng Institution is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college run by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and governed by the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended. Umalusi and other Sector Education and Training Authorities (Setas) have certified the College to provide education and training, particularly in the FET band (NQF Level 2 to 4).

Deadline for SWGC Applications

It is critical to understand that if you enroll in a vocational course such as Engineering Studies, Business Studies, or Utility Studies, you will not need to complete Grade 12 because institutions offer three-year vocational certificates.
This certificate requires only Grade 9, but it is best suited to students who have completed Grade 11 or even Grade 12.

SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All applications must be accompanied by supporting documents, according to the College. Along with the completed application forms, the following documents must be brought:
a copy of the most recent qualification/results a certified copy of your identification
If you have a handicap or an ongoing medical condition that necessitates special assistance from the College, please submit a medical statement from a qualified doctor.

HOW TO FILL OUT THE SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION
