Technical and Technical Education and Training (TVET) is the vocational, occupational, and artisan education and training provided by TVET Colleges. Another term for this type of education and training is post-secondary education and training.
There are fifty registered and certified public TVET colleges in South Africa, with 364 campuses spread across the country’s rural and urban areas. The Continuing Education and Training Act 16 of 2006 establishes and operates public TVET Colleges under the Department of Higher Education and Training, referring to education and training that takes place after leaving school, even if only with a Grade 9 diploma.

Applications are accepted all year. Forms are, however, available from September to November each year.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO TVET COLLEGES

Proof of payment for your application fee (compulsory for SA and International applicants)
a certified copy of your photo identification (ID document is required for South African citizens; your application will not be processed unless you have a certified copy of your ID and your passport number for international applicants).
Exam Results:
Final Exam Results for Grade 12 (if available).
If you are already in grade 12, your grade 11 results are critical to your submission.
As a result, you must keep it in your possession.
Keep in mind that you will need a specific email address when applying online or by mail.

HOW TO APPLY FOR APPLICATIONS TO TVET COLLEGES

The procedure for applying to the College is outlined below.

Step 1: Visit the school’s campus to obtain an application form.
Make sure to submit your application before the application deadline to avoid having it rejected.
Step 2: Fill out the form and attach all supporting documentation to your application.
Step 3: Keep in mind that you’ll need an email address to complete the form; if you don’t already have one, get one now.
Also, make sure your cell phone number is clearly visible on the form so that the school can contact you if something goes wrong.
Step 4: As previously stated, a full application must include a certified copy of your ID and a certified copy of your most recent school results.
