After completing your matric, you may wish to attend one of South Africa’s 50 TVET colleges. Funding should not be an issue because these institutions have funding available.

Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) colleges enable students to continue their education without having to complete matriculation. These universities offer instruction in a variety of fields, including hospitality, travel and tourism, primary health care, engineering, agriculture, transportation and logistics, and many others.

These are some of the many industries that require specialized talents rather than university-level education. The Department of Higher Education has registered all TVET courses, and some are SETA approved.
