With 50 Technical Vocational Education and Training colleges located around the country, studying at a TVET college is something to consider.

TVET colleges are part of the South African education system since they provide students with a diverse selection of courses.

TVET colleges provide four basic types of qualifications. The National Certificate Vocational, NC(V) credentials, the Report 191 Programmes, the National Introductory Certificate (N4), and National Certificates are all examples of credentials (N4).

These qualifications are accessible in a wide range of subjects, from agriculture to arts and crafts to corporate management and administration.

The majority of students attend a TVET institution because they wish to work in a specific trade or skill-related profession.

Requirements to study at a TVET college:

Be at least 16 years or older
Have a Grade 9 Qualification or ABET level 4 certificate

Although a grade 9 pass is necessary for enrollment, certain courses require a matric certificate.

TVET college courses are appropriate if you prefer practical work over theory; however, some programmes cover both practical and academic components of learning.
