REQUIREMENTS FOR UKZN
Please remember to include (if applicable) the following documents:
- A certified copy of your ID or passport.
- It is necessary to provide a certified copy of your National Senior/Matric Certificate, O/A Levels, or other relevant school leaving qualification/certificate.
- If you are an international applicant, you must provide proof that you are eligible for degree studies at South African universities from South African universities (formerly known as HESA). The undergraduate prospectus contains additional information.
- Certified copies of your degree certificate(s), academic record, and certificate of conduct are required if you attended other colleges.
- Non-English speaking international applicants must demonstrate English proficiency.
- The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluates previous degrees earned at foreign universities (outside South Africa).
- If you are applying for a master’s or Ph.D., you must submit a research proposal/proposed title for your dissertation/thesis.
- You must have a valid study visa to study in South Africa as an international student.
- Please ensure that you have read the requirements listed above before applying online.
- Please ensure that you have all of the required HESA/SAQA documents before submitting your application.
- When paying the application fee, please use the reference APPN (followed by your student number).
- Please allow between 24 and 48 hours for the system to process your payment.
