Which South African university has the simplest admissions requirements?
- Although UNISA is one of the more accessible universities, earning a degree there is a different story. In general, it varies by degree; for my degree, a B.Sc. in Computing, a Matric Exemption is required, as well as 50% in English and 50% in Math. The prerequisites for each degree are published on their website.
- 30 points minimum, omitting Life Orientation. English must be one of the two permitted languages. A “D” symbol on the Higher Grade or a “C” symbol on the Standard Grade for English is required for students who graduated before to 2008. Students who graduated after 2008 were required to pass English at “Level 4” or higher.
