University Funded By Nsfas 2024-2025: Are you wondering which South African universities are Funded By NSFAS? The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), is a government bursary that is available to underprivileged South African students who are looking to study at a public university or TVET College. NSFAS provides funding to 26 universities and 50 TVET colleges. Any Unisa students who want to apply for Nsfas bursaries can do so online at the organization’s website (www.nsfas.org.za). The NSFAS application cycle will run for four months starting on August 3 and ending on November 30 this year. Applications submitted after the deadline won’t be considered. Who qualifies for the NSFAS Funding?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

Required Supporting Documents Needed To Apply NSFAS Online.

To complete your NSFAS Bursary Online Application for 2024-2025, you must have the following information:

  •  You must have a phone number and an email address of your own.
  • A copy of your ID or birth certificate is required.
  •  You should also provide copies of your parents’, guardians’, or spouse’s identification cards.
  • 1 year’s worth of IRP5 or proof of income (if applicable,)
  • Proof of income from your parents, guardians, or spouse
  •  SASSA grant beneficiaries are not required to show proof of income.
  •  All disabled applicants must present a completed and signed Disability Annexure. A Document
  •  All applicants who have been identified by the Department of Social Development as Vulnerable Children must also submit a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form. Application Status for NSFAS

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit
