University of Venda Online application requirements 2024-2025

This page outlines the online application requirements for the University of Venda for the 2024-2025 academic period. The successful completion of the online application process necessitates the following information:

  • The use of the online application wizard is restricted to South African undergraduate students.
  • To apply online, you need a South African identification number, a cell phone number, an email address, and a credit or debit card with a CV number.
  • The online application process allows you to save progress and return at any point.
  • A five-digit pin will be generated for the applicant during the process.
  • Upload scanned copies of your identification card or passport, Grade 11 report or statement of Grade 12 results, or Matric Certificate.
  • Subsequently, you will be assigned a student ID number.

Student admission

  • (a) No one may enroll in a module for any degree, diploma, or certificate unless all of the prerequisites outlined in the School’s rules have been met.
    (b) In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Statute, and these regulations, a student must meet the following admission standards:
    I A student applying for admission must submit a testimonial of good behavior acceptable to the Council along with his application form.
  • (ii) A person seeking admission as a student must take an admission examination if the Council so requires it.
  • (iii) Before enrolling in a specific program, a student may be required to provide adequate proof of good standing.
  • iv) A Student shall produce to the Registrar a matriculation certificate or exemption certificate referred to in the Act, or any other certificate serving as a requirement for admission to a particular module of study, before May 15 of the year in which s/he is registered as a student for the first time unless the Registrar grants him/her an extension of time.
  • (v) When registering as a student for the first time at the University, a person must present a copy of their identity document to the Registrar.
  • (vi) Once enrolled, a student is subject to all rules and regulations that apply to students on and off campus.
  • (vii) When a student’s application for admission as a student is approved, he or she is registered.
  • (viii) Student-arranged residential arrangements for the duration of the University year are subject to Council approval.
  • (ix) Prior to registering as a student, a person may only attend lectures with the Registrar’s permission.
