EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

• The NC(V) is a high-skill, high-quality, and high-knowledge vocational program designed to directly respond to the modern economy’s priority skill demands. To obtain an NC(V) qualification, a student must complete seven (7) subjects, three (3) of which are compulsory (i.e. English as First Additional Language, Mathematics OR Mathematical Literacy, and Life Orientation) and four (4) vocational subjects from the NQF’s sub-field organization.

PROGRAMME DURATION

• The NC(V) qualification is a full-year program at each NQF level. At each level of study, a student receives a certificate. The full qualification lasts three (3) academic years and is comprised of NQF Levels 2, 3, and 4. A student can leave at any point in their studies and receive a certificate for that level.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• A year-end school report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 or a Certificate of Completion

OR

• NQF Level 1 qualification

OR

• An approved bridging program designed specifically for NQF Level 2 access.

OR

• AET Level 4

ENROLMENT DATE

• January of each year.

• Full-time ONLY
