College of Western TVET admission requirements for TVET colleges

NC(V) Course Standards;

Students may study for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 for a total of four years, taking into account potential subject failures.

NQF1, which is equivalent to Grade 9 and AET Level 4, is the minimum admission criterion.
The NC (V) policy served as a guideline and reference point for the entry requirements. A point system will be used for qualification admission.

Standards for 191 Courses;

NATED Policy dictates the minimum admission requirements. Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be completed by N4 students.
Prerequisites for Occupational Courses: Students with completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 who want to pursue an artisan vocation will be admitted to N1 based on a point system.
Minimum entry requirements for registered skills programs and apprenticeships approved by QCTO/SETA
A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Reports 191 programs will be considered only if they are currently enrolled.

Additional Entry Requirements

To improve the effectiveness and quality of specialized programs, the College Council has established additional admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4.
