  Western College (Westcol) is one of the 50 public TVET institutions that make up the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as defined by this act. A piece of legislation called the CET Act was approved.

Deadline for Westcol Online Applications

• Online registration for the 2024 school year is open from August 1 through October 29.

The rules and requirements that students must adhere to are listed below. Before moving on to the application procedures outlined below, we strongly advise prospective students to read the entire document.

No applications accepted at the door!

Send in the required documentation to get email updates on your progress.

Before applying, please read the minimum requirements.

Westcol reserves the right to move a program to a different campus or to end it due to a lack of enrollment.

You must have a functioning email account because we will be contacting you via email.

If you want to make sure you don’t miss any communications, you must regularly check your email.

All submitted documents must be original, certified copies with a six-month expiration date on the certification.

Please ensure that the documents are scanned in PDF format:

• Certificate from grade 12, results statement, most recent school report, and DHET certificate
• Identity card
• evidence of residence

STEP 1: The following actions must be taken:

• Please take note that all initial applicants MUST fully complete the PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT. This test is NOT pass/fail.

STEP 2:

• The APPLICATION SCORING POINTS (APS) SYSTEM must be completed.
• After that, you will be taken to the APPLICATION PORTAL.
• Your application could be rejected if any false information was provided.

• Please safeguard your login information and password because you will need them to check the status of your application on the portal.
