If you are a SASSA R350 grant recipient and have chosen to pick up your grant payment at the post office, the collection days are listed below.
The South African Post Office has announced the next payment days for the SASSA Social Relief of Distress grant, also known as the R350 grant.
It’s important to remember that R350 grant payments are not distributed by the Post Office on days when other grants are being collected. The month of January is from January 3 to January 7. Sassa SRD payments will then begin on Monday, January 10.
These days will only apply to people whose ID numbers have the last three digits listed below:
- 10 Jan: 080 & 085
- 11 Jan: 081 & 086
- 12 Jan: 082 & 087
- 13 Jan: 083 & 088
- 14 Jan: 084 & 089
- 17 Jan: 080 & 085
- 18 Jan: 081 & 086
- 19 Jan: 082 & 087
- 20 Jan: 083 & 088
- 21 Jan: 084 & 089
- 24 Jan: 080 & 085
- 25 Jan: 081 & 086
- 26 Jan: 082 & 087
- 27 Jan: 083 & 088
- 28 Jan: 084 & 089
- 31 Jan: 080 & 085
Beneficiaries of the R350 grant are reminded to wait for their confirmation SMS from SASSA before going to the Post Office to collect their grant payment.
Sassa SRD grant recipients can also choose to pick up their payments at any Boxer or Pick n Pay location nationwide.
This only applies to grant recipients who have received an SMS from SASSA confirming their Pick n Pay or Boxer collection pay-out point.
When is SASSA in January 2024?
- Disability payments will begin on January 5, 2024. This includes any grants that are associated with these accounts. All other grants will be paid beginning January 6, 2024. These include grants for children, foster care grants, and care dependency grants.

- Grants for the Elderly – 4 January 2024 Disability Grants expire on January 5, 2024.
