- All admissions applications must be submitted online during the designated application period in order to ensure that they reach the University of the Witwatersrand. You should also consider submitting your application before the deadline and think carefully about including all required WITS Online Application Documents. Dates of closure
- Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Audiology, and Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology degrees are all available as of June 30, 2024, through the Health Sciences Faculty (all programs). BS in television and film
- All other University programs end in September 2024.

Payment of the Application Fee
- For South African nationals, the application fee is R100 and is not refundable.
- The R700 application fee is non-refundable for foreign nationals.
- The closing dates must be met for payments.
- Use your Person Number or T Number as a reference.
How do I submit my application fee?
Payment Alternatives
- You can use cash, a credit card, an EFT, or a bank transfer to pay at the fee counters. There is no application fee if you apply online and are currently enrolled at Wits.
The following sum should be deposited into the university’s account:
- Current Account Number: 200 346 385, Standard Bank
- Braamfontein 004 805 is the branch code.
- 074A CI Number
- Wits University – Application Fees is the name of the account.
- Pay at the University of the Witwatersrand’s Fees Office, located on the ground floor of the Senate House, with cash or a credit card.
- Please refer to your application using the payment reference number, such as P130000, L130000, or D130000.
