Students who want to become registered nurses (RNs) can enroll in a full-time program called the Accelerated BSN nursing (ABSN). This program is open to non-nursing bachelor’s degree holders.
Students can begin their nursing education in the accelerated program with either a BSN Second Degree or a BSN/MSN, with the option to go on to earn an MSN. This is a pre-licensure program in which all students begin with the BSN portion and can become registered nurses (RNs) in as little as 15 months after completing the BSN.
The MSN will be offered to students who choose the BSN/MSN option.

How long does the faster program last? Can I complete my MSN degree on my own?
- The BSN component begins in August and ends in December. It takes 15 months to complete. The MSN (NP) portion can be completed full-time in 12 to 18 months or part-time in 2 to 3 years. The exact length will depend on your choice of specialty, whether you need RN work experience, and whether you want to work full-time or part-time.
When are the classes for the accelerated BSN offered? Am or p.m.? Can the BSN be obtained online or part-time?
- Semester by semester, the schedule shifts. You might have clinicals or classes at night; On weekends, clinicals may also be held. Online and part-time completion of the accelerated BSN are not possible.
