UMP Student Residence

• UMP provides undergraduate and graduate students with a range of on- and off-campus housing options.
• Typically, you will stay in a third-tier residence after starting out in a first-tier residence (full catering), followed by a second-tier residence (senior catering or self-catering) (semi-autonomous self-catering).
• Each home has its own history and traditions, but they all work to make your stay memorable. All residences have strict access controls and are primarily watched over by closed-circuit television cameras because UMP places a high priority on safety.
• There are many different housing options for students with disabilities. Contact the Disability Service and the Student Accommodation Office, and they will take care of your particular needs.

How to Apply for UMP Student Housing
The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) admissions office, as well as online by clicking on the linked text below, both have application forms for residences;

• Follow the instructions after entering the necessary data.
• Then click Apply.

University of Mpumalanga UMP Private Accommodation

• A list of accredited private accommodation facilities is provided to any student accepted to UMP who has not been admitted to the university residences so that they may make contact with the accredited private accommodation facilities.
• Regarding the accreditation of private housing facilities, the university has a policy. Within a 60-kilometer radius of the university, private lodging facilities are continuously accredited by the UMP Private Accommodation Accreditation Committee. All accredited private accommodations must offer students transportation as part of the accreditation minimum requirements.
• The Student Housing office and the university website both have a list of approved private housing.
