False Bay TVET College has five well-resourced campuses on the Cape Peninsula, with an annual enrolment of approximately 11 000 students. While not the largest college, False Bay has been consistently recognized as one of South Africa’s best TVET colleges for over 15 years. Further Education and Training (FET) Colleges are now known as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges as a result of a change made to Section 26 of the FET Amendment Act, 2013. (Act No. 1 of 2013). TVET has been introduced into the South African Education and Training sector as part of a drive to provide high-quality education and training with a variety of learning options.
False Bay TVET College has strong ties and strategic partnerships with employers, government departments, SETAs, representative industry bodies, and both local and international educational institutions in addition to its services to our youth, communities, and diverse industries. These collaborations allow us to leverage resources and opportunities that provide our students with not only affordable access to quality training and jobs, but also life skills, work experience, and cultural enrichment.
