Students at TVET Colleges receive education and training with an eye toward a specific range of jobs, career opportunities, or entrepreneurial opportunities. After earning a qualification at a TVET College, you may be eligible for admission to a University of Technology to continue your studies at a higher level in the same subject. The Western Cape TVET colleges are listed below.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training is referred to as TVET. The education and training the student receives is geared toward a certain range of careers, work opportunities, or entrepreneurial opportunities. According to the TVET website, certain students may be eligible for admission to a university of technology to continue their studies at a higher level in the same field of study as they were at TVET College.

Public colleges that get funding and subsidies from the state include institutions functioning under the title TVET. If they match the other criteria, students at TVET Colleges are eligible for support from NSFAS.

At each campus run by a TVET college, different courses are offered.

Boland TVET College

• In addition to a range of courses, Boland College also provides learnerships, part-time, and skills programs. E-learning and student support services are also provided. Four out of its five campuses offer student housing. There are five campuses for Boland TVET College: Caledon, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Strand, and Worcester.
