NSFAS Application Period 2024-2025: The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has initiated the application process for funding in the 2022 academic year. The NSFAS application window is open for four months, commencing on August 3 and concluding on November 30 of this year. It is crucial to adhere to the deadline as applications submitted after this date will not be considered. Eligibility for NSFAS Funding:

All South African citizens
All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350,000 per annum
A person with a disability: Combined household income must not exceed R600,000 per annum
Students who commenced their studies before 2018 with a household income not exceeding R122,000 per annum.

Necessary Supporting Documents for Completing the NSFAS Online Application:

Provide your personal cellphone number and email address
You must possess a copy of your ID or birth certificate
National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
Evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if required
Proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse
SASSA grant recipients are exempt from providing evidence of income
Applicants with a disability should furnish a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
Applicants identified as Vulnerable Children by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
