What types of nurses are there?
There are numerous varieties of nurses. Registered nurses have the option of earning a diploma or degree. Both operate in the same manner. There are many different courses that can be taken, and to distinguish a registered nurse with a general nursing diploma, color strips are added to the maroon epaulets (all Registered Nurses have this degree).

An enrolled nurse (staff nurse) with white epaulets assists registered nurses with their responsibilities and provides assistance to the lower category of nurses when required. APRNs Practice Specialist Roles
