With four out of five nursing graduates finding employment within three months of graduation, Australia’s health sector is expanding. You will have access to purpose-built training facilities, knowledgeable instructors, and opportunities for vocational placement when you study nursing at TAFE Queensland.

You will be ready to work as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) in a variety of healthcare settings with the help of our Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121). You will be fully qualified in patient health analysis and administration, medication monitoring, and nursing care within 18 months.

You will be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia if you successfully complete our nursing diploma. Additionally, you may be able to receive up to one year of credit toward a Bachelor of Nursing, which is the minimum qualification for working as a Registered Nurse (RN).

2.5 years to help you get into your course
  • You will also automatically receive 0.5 years (48 credit points) worth of credit transfer, allowing you to finish your degree in 2.5 years as a full-time student (or the equivalent in part-time).
How can I become a nurse in Queensland?
  • Registered Nurses are nurses who have finished a three-year bachelor’s degree in nursing, passed a national licensure exam, and are registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board (NMBA).
