You are required to complete mandatory practical clinical training supported by in-depth theoretical studies as part of your education. The theoretical portion includes learning the theory of what it means to be a nurse, while the practical portion includes completing the kind of work you would do as a nurse.
You will also need to study pharmacology, psychology, the natural sciences, and social sciences as part of the program.
You will need to meet some minimum requirements in order to pursue the degree.
National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent qualification
- Between 50 and 59 percent, depending on the institution, pass English, home language or first additional language, math literacy, life orientation, and life sciences.

Diploma in Nursing
