nursing without borders
nursing without borders
The mission of Nursing Beyond Borders, a 501(c)3 public charity, is to provide global children and their communities with healthcare and education. By sending nurses to work in our network of partnered orphanages, shelters, underserved schools, and clinics, we focus on preventing disease before it starts. A sustainable model of care that empowers children to improve not only their own lives but also the lives of future generations is provided by our targeted healthcare initiatives, workshops, and partnerships with local providers.
It is envisioned as the only group of its kind to be based in a nursing school. Through the following pillars, it is believed to focus on sustainable community projects and promote social justice:
- local projects
- International projects
- education
- advocacy.
Our mission and vision
- Mission: The organization Nursing Without Borders is dedicated to empowering communities to be self-sustaining in order to address healthcare disparities.
- Vision: May we compassionately put our knowledge and abilities to use in the cause of social justice by examining the healthcare system’s current structures and working together with others in the community, both locally and globally, to educate and advocate for those who do not have access to healthcare.
What does it mean to be a nurse without borders?
- Nurses in travel nursing without borders must only provide direct medical care in dire circumstances. Their primary duty is to supervise medical facilities and services. This includes giving the right training and making sure there are enough materials.
